Production techniques
With 16,400 m² of production area, Ustec oversees every stage of the manufacturing process internally, ensuring quality, efficiency and control. At the heart of this system is a highly specialised welding department, active for over 40 years, processing the metal starting from the raw material.
The production chain is completed by a vertical milling centre, an automated vertical storage system, and dedicated areas for shot blasting, washing, surface preparation and painting. Thanks to this production set-up, we manufacture undercarriages from 1 to 400 tonnes, standard or tailor-made, using advanced technologies that unlock new design and production opportunities.
Vertical milling centre
The Atlas Vision G vertical milling centre performs automated milling, boring and tapping operations, and more. Thanks to the universal head and automatic tool change, it optimises processes and expands design possibilities.
Automated vertical storage system
The Modula Lift automated vertical storage system optimises space and inventory management through integrated WMS software. Adaptable to any type of component, it improves efficiency, safety and picking accuracy, integrating seamlessly into production workflows.
Surface preparation and painting
The preparation and painting booths are designed to accommodate undercarriages of any size, either fully assembled or as individual components. Equipped with filter walls and a fully integrated filtration system, they ensure operator safety and compliance with environmental regulations.
Shot blasting
Shot blasting is a key stage of production, as it removes impurities and prepares metal surfaces for subsequent manufacturing processes. Thanks to the recycling of excess abrasive, the open-blast booth provides an efficient and sustainable treatment.
Washing
In the manual washing booth, dirt and impurities are effectively removed from metal components or semi-finished parts using a high-pressure washer. The wastewater recovery and filtration system ensures a safe and sustainable process.
